DAF LF Electric delivered for jubilee Van Gogh Museum

DAF has donated a LF Electric distribution truck to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2023. The DAF electric vehicle is used to transport Van Gogh Museum celebration items to schools and communities throughout the Netherlands.

DAF-LF-Electric-for-Van-Gogh-Museum-in-Amsterdam-HH — The keys of the DAF LF Electric were handed over to Emilie Gordenker (general director of the Van Gogh Museum) by Harald Seidel (president of DAF Trucks). The zero emission truck will be used to tour the Netherlands to deliver unique reproductions to inspirational people and for other promotional purposes.

The Van Gogh Museum attracts over 1.5 million visitors from all over the world each year and was officially opened on June 2, 1973. It is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a series of special exhibitions and festive activities.

“Vincent’s paintings colour our lives,” says Emilie Gordenker, general director of the Van Gogh Museum. “His art and take on life are an inspiration to many. There are still plenty of Vincents among us – people who inspire others around them with their talent or passion. Or people who support others through thick and thin. Many excellent nominations have been submitted and the jury has selected fifty winners of special limited edition reproductions we are giving away.”

The Van Gogh Museum is using the DAF LF Electric truck for the distribution of the special Van Gogh Museum Editions – 3D, high-quality reproductions of Van Gogh artworks – and other promotional activities. The livery on the vehicle body displays a section of the world-famous Van Gogh Sunflowers painting and the superstructure is superbly furbished on the inside to welcome the winners to receive their Van Gogh Museum Edition painting in the perfect environment.
