Waberer’s goes ‘zero emission’ with DAF CF Electric

First fully electric truck for one of Europe’s leading logistics providers

The leading Hungarian logistics provider Waberer’s has selected DAF Trucks for the delivery of its first fully electric heavy-duty distribution vehicle. The DAF CF Electric tractor will clock up to 500 zero emission kilometers a day in and around Budapest. It is the first DAF CF Electric to be delivered in Central Europe.

To minimise its emissions, Waberer’s recently ordered 450 New Generation DAF XF tractors. With the new DAF CF Electric, Waberer’s once again underlines the fact that it values the importance of reducing its environmental footprint.

500 kilometers per day

In 2018, DAF was the first European truck manufacturer to introduce a fully electric distribution truck. The CF Electric – available as a 4x2 tractor and a 6x2 rigid – has been developed in response to the rising demand for better air quality and lower CO₂ emissions in the transportation sector. Thanks to smart planning and fast charging, DAF CF Electric trucks are able to cover hundreds of ‘zero emission’ kilometers per day.

Fully electrical trucks offer an opportunity for the transportation sector to play its part in dealing with the challenges of global warming and local air quality.”
Waberer’s DAF CF Electric will initially be put into operation in and around the Hungarian capital of Budapest for the transportation of all kinds of goods.
