The DAF CF and XF Silent trucks use a series of smart technologies to keep noise generated by the truck to a level below 71 dB(A). How does it work?
It's simple: The driver simply presses a button on the dashboard to activate 'Silent mode'. The engine software immediately switches to a program that limits torque and engine speed.
In addition, the transmission automatically shifts up at lower speeds. Gearbox encapsulation also helps to reduce the noise. As a result, the DAF Silent Trucks are welcome visitors, even at unsociable hours.

The DAF Silent is available as a XF and CF rigid or tractor unit, with a choice of various cab options, chassis lengths and axle configurations. The DAF CF and XF are equipped with the powerful and economical 10.8-litre PACCAR MX-11 Euro 6 engine, with power ratings from 220 kW/299 hp to 330 kW/449 hp.
